Why I Became an ASHA CEU Approved Provider: Empowering Early Childhood Professionals with Confidence and Quality

June 22, 2025

As a bilingual pediatric speech-language pathologist, I’ve always believed in the power of ongoing learning. Not just for the children we serve, but for us as professionals. Whether you’re a speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, special instructor, or another team member in the world of early intervention and pediatric care, one thing is clear: we all want to do our jobs well, and we all need the right tools to do that.

That’s what pushed me to become an ASHA CEU Approved Provider.

This decision wasn’t just about adding another credential to my name. It was about creating high-quality, accessible continuing education for professionals like you, people who are deeply committed to helping children thrive but often feel overwhelmed, under-resourced, or unsure where to turn next.

“Becoming an ASHA CEU Provider builds trust between speakers and learners, while upholding rigorous, nationally recognized standards.”

It’s reassuring that I took the extra steps, I’m accountable to high professional standards and learners can trust the quality, accuracy, and professionalism.

Why It Mattered to Me:

  1. Because Professionals Are Actively Looking for CEU-Accredited Learning
Whether you’re renewing a license or simply want to stay up to date, continuing education is essential. More and more, professionals are seeking CEU-Approved trainings because they trust that those courses meet quality standards.
Becoming a provider allows me to meet that need head-on and give back to the community with content that’s practical, evidence-informed, and empowering.
  2. Because It Took Hard Work—And That’s What Makes It Meaningful
The process of becoming an ASHA CEU Provider took me over six months and it wasn’t just about creating good courses.
ASHA evaluates your entire company, how it operates, how you communicate with your audience,  your dedication to ethical standards, your commitment to learner outcomes, the integrity of your operations and so much more. They look very closely at how courses are designed, delivered, supported, and backed by evidence-based practices. Meeting these high expectations wasn’t easy but it was absolutely worth it. It’s a promise to the learners that what they’re receiving is thoughtful, high-quality, and held to the highest professional standards.
  3. Because I Wanted to Empower the Whole Team
Early intervention doesn’t work in silos it’s a collaborative, team-based approach. My goal is to support everyone who’s part of a child’s development journey. That’s why my courses are designed not just for SLPs, but also for occupational therapists, special instructors, and other early childhood professionals who want real strategies they can use immediately.
  4. Because Our Field Deserves Better
We’re Smart. We’re Passionate. And We’re Busy. We don’t need generic training, we need focused, real-world content that actually makes our jobs easier. We need tools that build our confidence, deepen our understanding, and help us serve families with even more compassion and skill.

Becoming an ASHA CEU Approved Provider wasn’t just a professional milestone, it was a promise. A promise to offer continuing education that is clear, current, and created with the real challenges of our work in mind.

If you’re looking for CEU opportunities that speak to the heart of what we do: feeding therapy, early intervention strategies, literacy, communication, and more. I hope you’ll find value in the courses KuzminSLP offers.

Let’s keep learning. Let’s keep growing.
And let’s keep building a future where all professionals and children can feel supported.
